TRANSFER OF HEAT We have learn that heat always flows from a higher temperature to a lower temperature. There are three different ways in which heat is transferred from one body to the other. They are, 1)Conduction 2)Convection 3) Radiation CONDUCTION : Heat flows from one object to other. When they are in contact with each other. For example, a metal spoon left in hot water absorbs heat from the water and becomes hot.If you touch the metal spoon now you will feel the heat. CONVECTION : When fluids are heated the molecules closer to the source of heat get heated first and expand.Thereby decreasing the density of the liquid. The lighter molecules comedown.
